The launch pad looks fairly similar to the US and EU launch pads... They all look like scaffolding...
There is a really big issue with this for me as fundamentally NK should not be banned from putting something into space, why should it be dictated to by other nations that have already done so? On the other hand I see the issue of an ICBM test, but don't think anyone in NK would be stupid to use one in anger anyway, unless they were invaded... Which IMO is one of the main reasons the US doesn't want NK to have the ability, it can't dictate as much to a nation that can fight back... Catch 22

Why does everyone think this? It is not fine for ANYONE to embark on a new nuclear program. It doesnt matter who they are - it would be the same if Canada were to decide they were going to develop them. Just as it's not acceptable for Israel to have nukes either - but sadly the horse has bolted from that particular stable.
It is far more complicated than the ill thought out arguement of 'Well X has them so why shouldn't Y.
The goal is to rid the world of nuclear weapons - not to allow an arms race ending in everyone having them. But it cannot happen overnight, the results of one day the USA waking up and saying 'We dont have any nukes any more' could be almost as bad as letting everyone have them.

It seems India is developing a new way to deliver its nuclear warheads.

Guessing NK's development budget was £3.7m?![]()
Nobody will want to give India ****, they are closer to Russia than we are to the USA, hell in 2015 they will have fighter jets that outclass the F22 and Eurofighter, hardly the best target to be waving the sceptre at![]()
