North Korea

Because North Korea are always making empty threats and it's wise not to rise to them?

Yeah unfortunately the President is responsible for the safety of 300million Americans and if someone is threatening a nuclear attack they can't just "not rise to it", they do have to take that seriously when it's also being combined with missile tests and your intelligence is telling you they are fully capable of acting out their threats. Otherwise when thousands of people are killed, that's on you for not doing anything about it.

I don't get what the dear leader is hoping to achieve threatening to attack and nuke all and sundry. Little wonder they go through top brass purges in the military so often.
It'd be so much easier to establish relations with generals, off the dictator and then try your level best to reign in the military leaders from reacting and attacking the South. Would be instability but as long as none of them harbour ambitions of being the next dear leader and with the military on side the Koreans could very quickly set about a plan for re-unification.
He is narcissistic & paranoid. He stops his population from revolting by convincing them that as brutal as he is a bigger threat awaits them, the USA.

Rabid dogs do a lot of barking, you really don't want one to bite you though! Can you afford to ignore them forever? They weren't invaded in all the years having nuclear weapons were but a pipe dream. Now they have them and it seems the ability to launch them. I don't think anyone wants to invade, there's nothing to gain!
What if the dear leader suddenly comes down with a spot of wind, thinks he's been poisoned and decides on a whim to launch? I think Trump is a buffoon but at least there are folk around him who'd prevent that sort of thing. You'd hope most countries do.

North Korea aren't a threat realistically. They know all too well that any act of aggression by them will result in their obliteration. As the only thanatocracy in the world today and dictatorship to boot, they will fail once the fat guy with the bad hair dies.

Prediction: there will be sections in America saying "Well, this is still better than Hilary" as they watch the nukes fall.

I don't know why people are blaming Trump for this, if any state was threatening to attack the UK and testing nuclear weapons we would be saying the exact same thing

I don't think anyone else would say it in quite the same way Trump does. I'm only surprised he didn't issue the warning over Twitter.

Gotta remember that Hillary wanted to shot down Russian airplanes over Syria... So not exactly Ghandi as she's made out to be.

I think it proves the USA should have a three or four party system,..

Come on... nuke Pyongyang already, i wanna see the first live broadcast of millions of people being atomized pls, it'll be really good for news ratings. /s

if trump wasn't the president of the US, i'd not be worried about this. i just hope he listens to advice and doesn't try 'flexing his muscles'.

NK is pointless.

The only thing to do is impose sanctions and just watch them.

Let them become a nuclear power the entire state will implode within 50-60 years anyway.

Should have dealt with NK years ago, now it's got harder because they have nukes. Soon they will be a global threat and will try to push their agenda on their neighbours. This isn't a relatively peaful nation we are talking about. Russia and the US at least have [some] cool heads and morals.
