Northeast Siberia braces for extreme cold of -60C

Depends if that's including wind chill or not. I've been in about -35 celcius on top of cairngorm mountain due to wind chill. Any skin that's left open just goes instantly numb, and it doesn't actually feel cold, but when you get back inside, it stings like something shouldn't ever sting. Still, -60

Bigger bonfire under the truck to keep the diesel from seperating/freezing.
I think at that temperature I'd not both attempting to endanger my life going out into the cold.
-60 must be hellish.
I've been to north Norway in Jan and it was like -35C and every time you breathe in you feel your snot crackling as it partially freezes then as you breathe out it thaws and the process repeats with every breath. The landscape was beautiful though with a proper snow covering. Minus 60 be a royal PITA as you can't have exposed flesh for too long etc. At least they're used to these kind of temperatures up there.

That will be before wind chill. We're just wondering whether it will make its way to Moscow or not. Only -6 here today.

At that temperature, if its quiet, as you breathe out you can hear your breath "crackle", as the moisture freezes instantly.

Exposing any part of you is a nono at -60.. it's not just the urine that would freeze and break..
To be honest I'd expect to have some form of mask with a heater for the air coming in.. -60 into the lungs isn't good..
That's crazy. I'd like to experience those temperatures, but not for long
Because they're not English. They do what they have to do and they don't moan about it

Oh there are millions of uglys here! What's with the idea that all Russian birds are fit! Of the ones that are nice they're either so thin they have no shadow or only want you money or both.
