Northern ireland bomb find!

Yay! security forcing pulling their weight and getting some real work done! :)

Roll on 2010

(oh and didnt realise that a boarder town was taken over by a dissident group)

The dissidents are really stepping it up again. It's a good job that intelligence are one step ahead of them but it's only a matter of time before another attack slips through the net.

********.

In a statement, Newry and Mourne police commander, Chief Inspector Sam Cordner said the items were currently being examined "but we can confirm at this stage that this was not a bomb".

"This was not a viable device.

"However, we believe that the items were components which had the potential to be used in the making of a bomb," he said.

Good to see that a possible attack was prevented, the last thing we need is more trouble from theese vermin.

that's screwed up tbh...

tis the same areas/same people tbh.... just a lot less of them now and operating under a different 'IRA'...

should be shot tbh.. but that would just escalate things and probably help generate support from the local community - as it stands they just look like a bunch of sad wannabes who can't get over the past

This a major setback for the peace process. The IRA were going to use that fertiliser to grow a crap load of weed and then be of no danger to anybody :D

The vehicle had been there for days, looks like it had been abandoned to me after the services alerted everyone and the made it not worth the risk to mule the stuff any further.
