All hairdressers in London either seem to be insanely expensive (£30 upwards) or very cheap (£5). And my friends go to either of the above. Does anyone have any recommendations for good but a good priced hair cut in London?

Mr Toppers in Camden, £6 and FIT aussie chicks that do it too :D

Quality is alright I suppose, didn't really pay much attention to that part :p

You can tip them a tenner I suppose if you wanted to pay £15 or so :)

Essensuals chain. Poor mans TONI&GUY, they are infact in partnership or are owned by t&g or summin (they have toni&guy printed all over the place) .. same quality cuts (proper styled cuts, not just a barbers trim) for around the £20 squidola mark from a lackey, or £30+ from a 'consultant' (aka. a lackey who has been there longer than a year..)

Ah yeah was trying to remember the name of them, had a v. good cut from one outside of London so I imagine it'd be much the same :)

They are all very good, at least at the branch I go to in Ealing. :)

They are actual stylists, not monkeys with a pair of Scissors. First time I went (after being a skinhead for nine years+) I just said "just do something with it" and was very happy with what I got :)

I have had a cut from there before, they were good but went for a £30  cutbecause I wasnt too sure about the junior people. Ok Ill try them then. Why are haircuts so expensive! Even £20 is overpriced just for a haircut.

I usually go to this one.

Was 14 quid last time, and you get nice girls washing your hair etc first. :)

Well, I had my hair cut in Essensuals - cost me £30 eventually - craziness I know but it was a good cut, then a few weeks back I went to supercuts and paid £10 - it was one of the worst cuts of my life! So I guess you get what you pay for, still dont understand why its so expensive for 20/30mins work!

Wow, I always thought that barbers in Edinburgh were expensive at ~£12 last time I had a haircut there but £30 and up . Clippers are definitely the way forwards, ~£25 for a decent set and I don't need to go near a barbers again. :D

I'm sure that is a trained sales tactic. You could go to the £5 ones, which do a good job but worry about the hygiene a bit..The nicer ones charge around £15 and the chicks have rather large hooters they place near you lol

the 3 stooges barbers if your in edinburgh up foutainbridge way :) just make sure you get the mad blonde woman in there :)
