AFAIK there are quite a few things that BMW USA replace which aren't done over here..
And don't forget the sub frame issues on the Z3 and E46 Coupe..

whats that specific prob?
from what ive read on here about the cooling system issues i got the impression that the failures were parts that youd almost expect to become consumable at one stage
as for the diesels... swirl flaps, that a big fail and design flaw. so many diesels are becoming over complicated... i still beleive the VAG 1.9 tdi is great. apart from EGR and breather issues its unkillable

Sorry Fox, in the future I won't bother bringing any of my real world experiences to your table. I'm sure it will be no loss as you seem to be able to best advise everybody and anybody on just about any topic, hats off to you.
