so I have just finished building my new office pc

mobo - Asus B500M-A wifi latest bios
cpu - Ryzen 7 5800X
hard drive - m.2 Samsung
GPU - RTX2070
360 aio for cpu
memory - Corsair Vengence 16gb 3000mhz

so, I am not specifically into over clocking but would obviously like to get the best out of what I have. what things should I be looking at in the BIOS and Ryzen Master

Have you used the XMP memory profile for your RAM? I know you say it is set to 3000 Mhz.

The timings that motherboards use can be conservative on first activation. If you select XMP memory profile in bios, the CAS speed and timings for the RAM may improve.

Also you may be able to over clock the CPU/memory or both. 5800x indicates it will overclock, however depends on you VRM's and motherboard. I assume Asus software will have the facility, but a manual overclock is deemed better.
