Hi there,
I have NTL business and i need one pc on my network to have its own ip address.

I know NTL can give me as many static ip's as needed, but once i get it, how would i route all traffic from that ip to that pc?

My network setup is this at the moment:

NTL box > router (d-link dir 655) > netgear pro switch (gs748at) > PC's

I only way i think of routing the traffic correctly is by doing this:
NTL box> switch> router & PC > netgear switch.

But is there away i can do it without using that extra switch?

Thanks

It depends how they have setup the multi-ip service, your solution will work if they simply you assign you some IPs on a very small subnet.

Some ISPs (i think BT Buisness is one) give you a dynamic IP to use on a router then your block of static IPs for your machines behind in which case you'd need a router which isn't also doing NAT
