Recently i've decided to make my webspace so files can't be browsed by just anyone, and one (or more) directory(s) will need passwording. Problem is, I can't seem to find any help on passwording directories on NTL webspace. Indeed some people seem to think it can't even be done but I can't believe that they'd stop you from something like passwording directories? Apparently it's something to do with .htaccess?
So, can anyone point me in the right direction or indeed show me what I need to input? :)
Cheers :)

Thanks! :)
As it turns out I think it'll probably just be easier for me to password a zip file. I think it'll be more trouble than it's worth trying to do it the other way.
