So I’ve recently changed jobs again, and I’m now working further away from home and struggling to find the willpower to visit my old gym.
It’s now quite out of my way, considering the traffic I need to sit in to get to it after work. As a result, I feel like I’ve lost/losing all the great gains I have been making (sticking to variations of Gordy R’s sticky in this forum) as I tend to have a “binge” / slightly obsessive personality.
I went all out and hammered the gym for nearly a year, but for the last 4 months, I’ve only seen the inside of the gym a couple or so times and now binge on bottles of vino in stead.
I plan to turn my addictive personality again to being more productive than drinking by finding a gym close to my house so I can go in the mornings before work. There’s a Nuffield Health about 5 minutes away from my house in Buckinghamshire, but it costs £60 a month! I can afford the price, however I’m a tight git when it comes to things like this and it irks me to think about spending that much every month. I would have expected – living outside of London, that it won’t be as expensive.
Do any of you use Nuffield gyms and are they worth the money? They waffle on about health MOTs by checking your blood glucose and so forth… but for a needle phobe like me… that aint gonna happen!
It’s a long shot, but do any of you know how if there’s any sort of deals you can get on memberships?
