I've just noticed that my numberplates on my Primera don't have the BS AU 145d bit in the bottom right, and don't have the name/post code of the supplier of the plates on either.

Is this particurally bad? I know technically it means they don't comply to the standard, but does this make them illegal?

As long as the spacing and such is ok then you wont get in any trouble. I think its illegal for the people that made it not to put it on unless made out of the UK or something.

They are perfectly legal. That info is only a requirement on the part of the seller, not the buyer/owner.

People like Fancyplates etc do not have to comply with those regulations as they are imported from Ireland, it is only a requirement for those selling them within the UK.

Really want some plates from there, but cant be bothered with any potential hassle of the police. :(

So would i get my butt whooped for having those number plates?

PS not my actual number plate. :p

GB and ENG plates look ****. They were OK 5yrs ago.... Just get standard lettering, looks a lot cleaner.

Well I don't like it but 90% of the cars in England seem to have them or the GB badge, so they must be "cool"

I thought that if you had the UK badge / flag then you could drive in europe without a GB sticker.
