Nvidia 285.79 beta - New PhysX version

Anyone had a BSOD with these? Installed them yesterday and had my first BSOD in a year of faultless use. Though it may be something else you never know. Just wondering if anyone else had bsod?

Yeah I've had 2 in a row too. I had to wind my CPU clock back from 3.6 to 3.5 and now finding it stable, although it was stable on the previous clock with the older drivers.

These drivers are proving excellent on the 335m in my M11x. BF3 has gone from a stuttery mess running at 15-22fps to a relatively smooth 25-35fps. Still some life in this old girl yet (I do have a Eyefinity Desktop system before anyone wonders why I am trying to play BF3 on a 11.6" laptop).

Funnily someone on the NBR forums belives that BF3 is "perfectly smooth" running at 15-20fps on the 280.26 drivers.

Not had anything strange from these drivers, no BSOD or crashing in any form on BF3 or MW3 and other games I have here and software that uses the GPU. So far pleased with them but the new WHQL drivers from Nvidia will be out before the end of the month the admin on Nvidia forums said. I'm on Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit.

nvidia software and drivers really is flawless compared to AMD

It's really not. I had to ditch an old system because of Nvidia drivers. Google DPC Latency and Nvidia. Or alternatively the recent issue with 560 cards where Nvidia asked people to send thier cards in.

Both sides are as a good/bad as each other.

I'm really liking them on my system, I usually update Nvidia drivers with the knowledge they won't do much for my card as it's getting a bit old but I've definitely noticed an improvement with these ones (a good 3-5 FPS on average playing BF3 and what seems like a higher minimum FPS)

Haven't had any BSOD's either, but I haven't had any with past drivers so I'd imagine some people have unstable overclocks if they are getting them.
