Nvidia 3Dvision on passive monitor/TV.

Thanks for this Andy, I just got it set up on my DM2780D and it's working a good deal better than Tri-Def was.

I can actually play Mafia 2 now as well, where as with Tri-Def it'd struggle to load the chapter title, and then crash before it loaded the game. Works fine now though.

Have you found a decent way to watch movies in 3D on your LG?

Hey guys,

Just ordered my first 3dtv. Panasonic L55ET5B passive set.
Will be arriving in about 10 days.

Want to get all setup for 3d gaming and 3d bluray etc.

So how do I find out if the Zalman trick will work for me? Has anyone tried this on any of the panasonic ET5 series screens?
Is there a colour bug or any other issues?

If it's setup for transmitting 1080 interleaved signal @ 60fps is that only when you activate 3d mode, or will it display interleaved for 2d stuff also, as that would be less than ideal.

Don't know how it works as have never tried 3d before but I hope it displays 1080 progressively in 2d and then switches to 1080 interleaved when you activate 3d mode?
Is this how it functions?

So do I just need to install the nvidia 3Dvision drivers and then apply the zalman hack?
I also assume the zalman hack is only on the pc side of things and won't interfere with the TV's firmware or software in any way?

Also , do you have to reapply the zalman hack every time you update nvidia drivers?

Thanks,

Mark.
