Most I'm ever likely to use is one DP and one HDMI if I ever feel the need to connect my old 27" to it, so not an issue for me.

    Might be for others though.

You can get adaptors, or cables that are dual-dvi one end and hdmi at the other. Should be OK.

Everyone seems to be making decisions based solely on Nvidia's presentation slides which I'd trust about as far as I can fly, and no-one has even mentioned the term paper launch yet there aren't even any cards to purchase never mind seen a benchmark of yet.

I pretty much only use one or two outputs myself, I guess I just expected there to be USB-C, or a second HDMI port.

Looks like a great card though!

Not sure the lower end AMD cards will have more ram that competes with the 3080. The Navi 21 might be up there beating the 3080 but below the 3090. This is when Nvidia will drop the 20Gb 3080ti for $899 to pull the rug our from under AMD and along with a Titan full core with 48Gb ram for $2500.

Does anyone have any experience with Founders Edition cards and coil whine? I know it can be pot luck with AIB cards. How were people's 2000 series Founders Editions?

I can live with slightly noisy fans but coil whine is a big no no. Especially when I plan on running 1440p at 144hz.

Probably nothing. You're simply paying extra so the AIB partner can make some money too :p

The FE looks (to my eyes) the best of all the cards I've seen.

Get a card that uses 2x 8 pin?
The FE cards use the supplied 12 pin connector which needs 2x 8 pin from the PSU.
