Nvidia Geforce 266.44, Not far off!

Leebone,

I wouldnt download from that user, as others have posted in the thread he is new to guru3d with only 4 posts and could have anything hidden in that installer. The links at the top of the thread work fine. I got em down now issues, havent tried them myself yet though

Thanks for the warning, but everything seems fine atm.

Other people with this driver seem to be getting the white screen then flashing in BC2. Fingers crossed it is fixed in release as I liked the higher frames whilst it lasted :D

3d is broken like in the 265.90 for me, i think it's cos it needs a new 3d controller driver, the ir receiver turns off on its own and 3d vision discover mode is permanently enabled, hope the official ones are soon

I installed the 266.44 beta drivers last night and played an hour on both NFS: Hot Pursuit (with 16xAA forced: looks great!) and Divinity II (also with forced 8xAA) with no issues whatsoever. The NVIDIA Fixed Aspect Ratio bug is fixed (that is, the correct option shows when you select and apply it) and GPU Caps Viewer v1.9.5's 4D Julia GPU OpenCL test no longer crashes so all the OpenCL tests now work correctly. No issues in BFBC2 either when I tested it briefly. AMD's HK-2207 demo no longer works though (didn't with 263.14 WHQL either) as I get an invalid key error.

These seem like very promising drivers so far so I'm happy to keep them until NVIDIA release the official WHQL next week (as rumoured). There are rumours that these drivers contain a bug but I've seen no evidence of any unless it is supposed to the projector one that did the rounds before Christmas (supposedly it was the reason the drivers were delayed a couple of weeks according to the GeForce.com forums).
