I went from 980 SLI to Titan X. tbh games run better on single gpu so I went with the best. This should hold me until pascal or longer. SLI is just a pain in the ass

Spending an extra £200 or so on the TX if you don't need the VRAM is £200 wasted and doing exactly what NV want.
There's no point in the card even existing if it's going to be near the TX price. It exists to get people who can't stretch to a TX to spend more than a 980. Stranger things have happened mind.Who say's it'll be a £200 difference? The leaked prices from EVGA's domain lists the Reference 980Ti at $798.
That means around £700, not including pre-order prices, and possible gouging.

Will the TI have similar temp and noise levels compared with the TX?
