**Nvidia GeForce GTX 980 Ti Review Thread**

fantastic card, really blowing out the price and the performance

I have to say I'm impressed by nVidia's technology as much as business tactics...they've clearly gone all out to steal as many customers and dollars as they possibly can before the AMD Fury/HBM card comes out...

I mean think about this performance at this price...something has nVidea very nervous.
Yeah they do seem nervous but seems like a lot of people are dumb enough to jump on the first offerings (like this and the titan x which has become pointless only months after release) without even waiting to see why Nvidia are so worried  Seems like everyone just acts like kids in a candy store that don't realise the shop clerk is just bringing out the better sweets each time they've wasted there money and not been smart enough to see what else is coming :D

Still this card sounds great but like you said, it really is strange for Nvidia to just suddenly undercut there own cards so bad. I bought a laptop with a 980m and nearly had them stick me with no possibility of overclocking just for there amusement, nearly bought a 980 and would have had the pleasure of 3.5gb and if I did pull the trigger on the titan x I'd be having some big buyers remorse right now. Got to be careful with Nvidia these days and I'm guessing these aren't the cards I want either, 16nm rolling around soon so this might just be another shock tactic to leave people wanting to move on shortly after or to try and get people to buy Nvidia before even seeing what AMD offer. It's a very tempting card but just too bad Nvidia were such clods that they couldn't have just priced everything this way to begin with, no need for 980ti if the titan wasn't price hiked. If only we got real currency conversion and no UK price hikes too :(

If you have a 290X it might be worth to wait until the new AMD cards are released so you can make a fully informed decision and may be even cheaper pricing.

I am currently sporting 2 6970s in x-fire which I have been very happy with and even I can take another couple of weeks of uncertainty to be completely sure I am making the right decision.

I bet AMD have never been so annoyed. Bang goes their pencilled $749 asking price.

Noice. Not going to upgrade yet though, not with a 60hz monitor and the inbound Kepler driver. Plus I take delivery of my Schumacher Cougar today and the weather is about set to get warm so maybe I'll look again this winter :)
