*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3080 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

Small is 50 cards based on what Gibbo has said previously i suspect very small to be 10 so upto 60 cards coming today i would think

I could've sworn an "OK" amount was ~50 and "Small" was ~10? Correct me if I'm wrong but I think expecting more than 15-20 Strix OCs going out today with both deliveries combined and whatever is taken aside for pre-builts taken into account might be wishful thinking. Obviously, I am hopeful for more to turn up than I expect and to receive a dispatch email this evening!

The 'OK' amount of Ventus cards was 53, so it seems like ok is 40-60

Official list was this post

Less than 50 is small, more than 50 is average, more than 100 is big and more than 1000 is a dream.

Notably "very small", "ok" and "large" aren't mentioned.

During previous launches "very small" apparently was used for <10, and so far this time that seems to match up. "ok" was 50ish for the Ventuses last week, so it seems to match average, which means large is likely the same as big.

Oh I agree. This is blatantly a soft launch to get out ahead of Big Navi which releases at the end of this month.
You might have hit the nail on the head. Nvidia would have known AMD were going to be competitive and beat the king 2080ti at a much more competitive price. Makes sense for them to pull this stunt prior to the AMD announcement cutting the 2080ti by half to make people jump early.

I think it's pretty clear that every AIB are scalping their own product for all they can get.

Anyone had an email saying "shipped" yet for the strix oc?
@Gibbo what's happening?

OCUK prolly got like 5 GPU's show up today.

What's the point in that though?

Majority will just cancel.

It has the same number of heat pipes and same fin stack area, contrary to what the other chap told you.

I would pay less and not have another noisy little fan.

I thought about hedging my bets and ordering one, but I don't want my order cancelled like someone else on here.
in the last hr I've cancelled the X3 and went for the x4. Thought it might have a smaller que.

thanks danny, didn't fancy spending ages trawling through all the posts. Friend around queue position 30, so hoping he gets one as his card died last week.

I think its time to look at alternative options, this clearly ain't working, 1000s of us spending hours looking for updates and nothing positive being shared from NVIDIA.

They know the volume of orders they have received and need to fulfill and their daily production, doesn't take a genius to workout a timeline when all the orders will be completed.

Its several weeks now since launch and even suggesting a new card will be launched is nothing but frustrating to us who have a card on order. I hope AMD capitalises on this as this has to be the worse GPU launch in history.

I think under the exceptional circumstances people who have ordered the non-OC version of the Strix should be able to switch to the OC version. (Yes I've ordered the non-OC and I'm biased)

Multiply by 35k youll probs be closer
lets say Great Britain and Rep of Ireland together are 70 million and the preorders for 70 million are around 20 000 cards the population of earth is 7,5 billion so we can multiply 20 000 x 114 aprox= 2280000 and to accept that we have to think that people in India or Nigeria for example have the same buying poower like in Uk and Ireland...and that isnt the case.
tbh i dont think that more than 1 million cards are preordered with your calculations that number is 350 milion i think that isnt possible :P
