*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3080 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

Just been given a super hint via OCUK Facebook

I asked them if I would receive my strix oc this week

They replied saying "its a strong possibility based on your Q position"

I'm 11th

Just waiting for a dispatch email

Hi guys

First post, This was only a question as I am unsure who to ask and do t really want to call the support team, 2020 has not been great for a lot of people and they don't need to be hearing from Gfx card Zombies lol

Anyway I ordered an gigabyte Eagle, round 150 in the queue, Does anyone know if any of these cards have shipped at all? Also is it possible to see a real time queue or weekly queue without calling the customer support line?

thanks for any help

Unless something has been said differently today the Eagle has been delayed by a couple of weeks because of the power plug problem, which is sorted now. I've ordered an Eagle too so I wouldn't expect to hear anything until the end of the month.

The thinking is though that since its been delayed when shipments do start arriving they may arrive in greater numbers. If you're 150 in the queue then you may get lucky and get it early to mid November.

Incidentally I was on another gaming forum earlier today and someone posted the queue list for another online UK retailer, that shall of course remain nameless, and their Eagle waitlist was 550 or so with some other cards 1500+. I thought that was
interesting considering we know here the Eagle is one of the most popular cards with a 2000+ queue. But I do wonder if the Eagle wait list has shortened considerably in recent days with people swapping to other cards or cancelling their order entirely.

System integrators buy bulk stock for use in PC builds. These cards are boxless and are usually sold with the legal understanding that they are only to be sold as part of a fully built PC.

In other words it's a different queue.
We've already established that since OC give customers the option to have the boxes these must be the same cards that we're queueing for :(

This may be the case for other places but it has been stated on here many times by people who bought pre-builts that OCUK will give you the box if you wish, i.e. they use their retails stock to do their system builds. OCUK are probably too small or cannot order both retail and SI stock.

Also a large competitor was slammed for selling SI cards without appropriate packaging, damaging their backplates. No mention of legality, just stupidity of throwing an expensive card into the post with nothing but a bag around it.

The reason the queues are large is cause next to none have shipped and there was next to no initial inventory, completely unrelated to the power plug issue. It was hinted at in another thread that the lines weren't even set up for production of the eagles in volume

They aren't going to air dirty laundry in public. Nvidia said they were investigating and so did EVGA. Expect lawyers in the background.

I disagree as there is no evidence to suggest that these cards were intended for retail use. They may indeed have the box but the card may have been for pre-builds.

Is it right for card producers to continue production on cards specifically for pre-builds? Probably not, but unless any of us are directly involved in Overclockers and/or a card producer to prove otherwise, you can only speculate and assume, and we all know what happens when you assume

It would be nice to actually get some numbers from OCUK at this point, it's been weeks.
I've also just heard from a friend who has been "bumped to the front" of the que as he has bought a complete build. Are OCUK really doing this? Seems pretty shady, while some of us sit in 1000+ ques.
Being new to the forum, and slightly cynical having just placed an order. Do you think OCUK are just taking all our cash to sit on and invest, because...it's better in their account than ours...Seems like some of you have been in the ringer for weeks.

Any news on zotac trinity non OC yet?

They only got OC cards from Zotac recently so I have a bad feeling we'll be waiting a few more months.

Put it this way. They had around 10k in orders in like a week. Never stopped taking the pre-orders. Guessing their queue is back to at least 50-60k.

No updates today so I guess none came in.

I can't believe how slowly they are coming. It's been almost a month now since I ordered. I'll never trust another Nvidia launch again.
