*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3080 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

on a serious note it does look like ocuk are losing stock in the warehouse or something.. (falling into pre builds)

and a hats off to giga-man for coming on the forum and giving updates, the other reps seem to have vanished...

See, this is what they want. For us to turn on each other and forget that they are nicking our cards for prebuilds.....
I am suprised no one here picked up on the fact giga said they have been delivering cards to oc every week, and more than they have shipped to customers here, sometimes none were shipped but they still recieved them.

Sorry, you are literally the most transparent source of information we have, even if it's limited given your indirect involvement in OCUK matters. You advice is appreciated, Enjoy your time off!
Agreed - @GIGA-Man - you are appreciated. I hope you can see why you're getting bombarded though...OC are not telling us what is happing with this stock, and we're still waiting for the tiniest bit of news of where our investment is. They aren't making Gigabyte look good right now.

Since joining the queue I follow this thread for chat/updates etc

I agree with him though, some people so unnecessarily upset over a gfx card.

Feel for those people who may have PC gaming as one of their main sources of enjoyment for e.g. medical reasons, but I bet they are in the minority.

A lot of people with very little resilience/coping mechanisms venting their frustrations on here.
lets see how YOU are in a few months when you havn't gotten yours yet ;)
I dont agree with how angry people are getting and how some people are personally blaming Gibbo.

They are doing the best they can with stock and they cant force suppliers to give them extra.

I get people may be annoyed as it isnt an insignificant amount of money to have up in the air, myself included for not having the most amount of money in the world.

But people need to understand that this issue isnt just OcUK, its all over the world, and during these uncertain times a graphics card is the least of people worries. If you're so annoyed or concerened with OcUK having your money then there is nothing stopping you cancelling and going elsewhere that may possibly have some.

People seem to be taking this a little far, OcUK are within their rights to have the money for the card as a pre-order as it secures that you get a card whenever the stock becomes available.
people are blaming gibbo because hes the one feeding us the info and its the comms that caused issue for most and NOT the fact that stock is scarce.
Distill? StockAlert Telegram? Nvidia Discord? Manual F5? Or just plain luck?
how about ALL OF THE ABOVE :p
The queues would be a lot worse if they didn't take payment up-front. Ideally though 50% should be a sizable chunk to discourage mass orders that are likely to be cancelled if they get stock elsewhere, while also allowing those who ordered in good faith the option to at least pursue one other option at the same time, not necessarily even competitor, perhaps another queue.
other companies don't take payment until dispatch. its not common but its doable. OC could do this if they wanted but they chose to take full payment. Thats their choice though. If we don't like it then we can take our money elsewhere.
Because it's off topic?

If you want to discuss 3060Ti rumours then post in the appropriate thread
If you want to discuss AMD rumours then post in the appropriate thread

If you want to post about your place in the queue, how no stock has arrived yet, and have a general whinge with other like minded individuals about the fact you still haven't got a card, then maybe this is the thread for you
why only now when for weeks the talk of other cards and rumours has been fine?
I think some people under estimate just how many people need GPU's for reasons other than gaming. (like me for example)

There are well over 15million subscribers to Adobe CC for example. 90% of them will likely use a high end nvidia GPUs, and a large amount of them are self employed. Same goes for Blender, Cinema 4D, all the Autodesk apps. Engineering, arch vis, video editing, modelling and design are just a few of the reasons. Millions of GPU's are sold every year for non gaming use. And the 3080, with it's high core count and relatively low price will have been on lots of non gamers shopping lists.
this is me totally. Its the reason i'm actually looking for a 3090 now and the main reason i can justify it. Its very common tbh.
Thanks for the update @GIGA-Man

Would be LOVELY if someone from OC could tell us precisely where the Gigabyte cards are going, because they're seeming not being delivered to paying pre-orderers...
they've all been booked in as SI stock. remember this is "different" stock to the retail stock people here ordered.
Basket, checkout process, freakin' gone
lmao. i tried aswell but kinda glad it didnt materialise. 90 day warranty isn't ideal although id like to think msi would honor the full warranty.

I did pick it up and I @Gibbo to clarify this for us. And I don't even want to hear an answer "I'm not sure how sales are processed" or whatever. I was the one who asked the original question as to why only 1 card was being sent out per week. Seems like we need to ask our questions in a very precise way so there is no room multi-interpretation answers.

We all did, see a couple of pages back, where were you?

In fact, they seem intent on Gigabyte taking the blame for this.

I just wished nobody would pre-order or buy any rtx 30 series card for two months, just to show the manufacturers and retailers that the customer is the one that need to be pleased and not the other way around. Overprice and charging ahead of time for something that is not even in the plans to be in stock is something very wrong.

Hey all,

I understand you're frustration, I'm trying to deliver as much info as I can so you have a rough understanding of what's being shipped.

I warned everyone at the start, that this would probably lead to people being disappointed and also warned not to get your hopes up. I get that you want what you have ordered but there is a lot of different factors to this situation, many of which I have tried to explain in detail on other posts here in the last few weeks.

GIGABYTE are in the same situation as everyone else, OCUK are also in a similar position along with other retailers.

Please do not use the information I am providing against OCUK or their staff.

I get many of you have been waiting a long time for your orders, I understand why this would make you upset in most cases, I am trying to let you all know estimated shipment dates and I will update you again ASAP.

Appreciate your upfront honesty with this, and thanks for looking into the estimated shipping numbers on our behalf.

*tips hat*

@GIGA-Man

I appreciate you are trying to deliver as much info as you can, but from myself and many other customers perspective, the situation is becoming untenable.

In regards to the Eagle, many of us were initially advised stock was expected on the 23rd of September, we are now on the 11th of November and it looks like not a single Eagle has shipped? "The same situation" keeps getting referenced but I am not quite sure what the "situation" is? @Gibbo or someone could do with communicating with the powers that be and the customers.

Another person with reading comprehension issues or just a troll
You need to speak much much slower sometimes :p - I feel like you're both kind of saying the same thing lmao

How people choose to fund a card is their business. If they feel they can manage then fair enough. If they're struggling then surely that would be a consideration, especially with kids but who knows. You don't have to be the stereotypical type to be on benefits and some people need to remember that.

These cards are a substantial amount of money for anybody whichever way you slice it and yes the money could buy a lot of other things. We have all chosen to spend this on a gpu. You can build/buy a full lower spec pc for this kind of money and have change. If i was struggling i wouldn't prioritise gaming but thats just me. TBH im not now but the fact my "work" gpu and rest of the pc built around it can play games is a bonus

The thing is OC "appear" to be getting no stock and they have openly blamed gigabyte (and others) not sending stock but you say gigabyte have sent. Other retailers have had gigabyte stock and dispatched this whilst OC hasn't. We're just trying to understand whats going on.

For example are you aware of 2 different stock channels for your cards? gibbo stated they have SI stock and Retail stock. Personally im not convinced after speaking to other retailers but if you can confirm they do actually have 2 channels that would make the guys who think their cards are going in pre-builds feel better.

I'm looking at aorus master and extreme 3090 at a competitor so if you can give an idea of what to expect over the next few weeks generally it would help me and others :)
