Bringing prices down further we have two storming deals from MSI in the form of GTX 460's with prices starting from just £109.99 inc. VAT. Now considering the last of the cheap GTX 480's are now gone and GTX 560's are circa £140 which are just an overclocked GTX 460, makes these an absolute bargain. Check them out:-

they are some really nice deals. makes them nice and competitive against the HD5850 now.

i was also preparing to write a small essay on every teeny tiny difference between the 460 and 560, but apart from the name, and the standard clock speeds, theres sod all difference, which makes it a fantastic deal

Agreed the GTX 560 is like the GT 440, they are basically just cards re-released with higher clock speeds.

Therefor this pricing makes the GTX 460 a bargain and as 5850 becomes harder to get hold off this deal will just get sweeter and sweeter. :)

after a long discussion (argument over a spec :p) in a thread, i have finally found out the difference between the GTX460 and GTX560 (other than clock speed:

the GTX460 uses the GF104 core architecture, whereas the GTX 560 uses the GF114 core architecture, which gives it a bit of a boost in performance per clock cycle

the 460's are still a great deal though

Cheers OCUK. Ordered the 460GTX Hawk on Saturday and it was delivered all the way up to a cold, cloudy Scotland early Monday afternoon. Now installed and running 42C cooler than my old rapidly expiring X1900XT.

This card is running with Win 7 (pushed the experience up to 7.2 from 5.5) and OpenSuse Linux. It's at stock at the moment, but will be boosted in the near future.

Once again, thanks for the great service.
