***NVIDIA GTX 580's IN STOCK - BE QUICK!***

To be honest, if they are only 10% quicker than 570\6970 then shouldn't they be around £300-£320.

They are very cherry picked cores that go into 580. This is not it normal card.
On stock they are about 15-25% quicker than 6970/570.
Overclocking is this cards speciality mine did 900mhz and 2350mem and at that speed it was 30% quicker than ravens 850mhz -480gtx.

They are on another lvl when u oc.

You had a 580 skyrocket, what made you change to the 470's?

Yes I had a 580 POV for 6 days which I bought at 380£ delivery a week after launch.

Had a play about and returned it under long distance selling act.
The reason I returned it?
It didnt overclock good. Can you believe that? 900-2350mhz and this was an average clocking card. Thing is about this card, is they scale almost linary with the clock's which is amazing. You up it by 20% IT WILL GIVE YOU 20% in games!

You clock at 5870 20% or 6970 20% it will give you 10-5%.

Fermi aritecture is something special. But then again so it should be for a 500mm core.

Some will do 950-2400mhz and had a got one of them I would have kept it. :(
Deal came out on 470 Twin Frozr II for 180£ each and I went for it.

At these prices they are silly but at £350-70 if they can be found. They do perform very well, especially OC!

lol 580 @ 950Mhz v 480 at stock 700Mhz, is anyone so deluded to think a 580 at 900 core is 30% faster than a 480 @ 850 core lol. Forgive me if I don't judge overall performance by your justcause 2 bench heh.

If you want to compare a 480 @ 850 core in the benchmarks I posted just look at the stock 580 which is equivalent in performance to a 480 @ 850 core.

OK got some 1080p results done, added Dirt 2 and crysis results.
480@850 core/2000 mem

You can throw me links to different sites all day long raven.
The proof is in the pudding. No tweaking in CP.

AND
Here we go 580GTX at 900/1175 tears chunks out of the overclocked 480gtx 850/1000.

Yes this is one game but it shows that 580GTX on 900mhz is on another lvl to an OC 480GTX.
Thats 30%! Even the menu renders 30% quicker.

Thats like comparing a 460 to a 570...and it does all this quieter, with less W.

As I said raven throwing a shed loads of graphs from review sites dont mean squat.
I play the just cause on 580gtx OC and you on your 480gtx. I get 30% quicker fps. Its as simple as that.
I get to play with 60fps all the time on with vsynch and you got to endure 40fps dips+

Some games you might get 10% some 20% some like just cause2 30%.

"normalized performance" rolfcopter.

No i havent just got a justcause2 screen. I got one from your uber 480GTX OC toaster and 580GTX OC.
Two shots which makes me compare the cards, and the lvl they are at. And they are light years apart in this game.

Very good prices on the Twin frozr's, my reference gigabyte oc's cost £214.00 and £189.00, (2nd card on TWO), though i offset the cost by selling my gtx 275's for £135.00 along with one of the mafia 2 codes for £10.00.

you sold that 275 well! I only got £180 from my 5870 gtx.
Coolers are great though the ONLY bad point is they eject a fair bit of heat into the case. Which has added 3C on the temp of the CPU.
Lucky its a bit cold.
