That's the problem people are having which the BIOS update tried to fix. Isn't a problem for me as I run my fan at a constant speed but for those on auto it's a nightmare.

Seen people report the BIOS didn't change anything so I guess that's why they've pulled it.

K-Boost on EVGA Precision works for me, not ideal but keeping it till custom bios are released or Afterburner release an update for the 9 series.

You can replicate it by using K-Boost on EVGA Precision as well, keeps your card at max clocks. My overclock hasn't crashed since.

I think I'd be able to surpass 1600mhz stable with some added voltage and power then use K-Boost in precision to hold it stable. It means doing a driver reinstall though. I'm lazy

That EVGA seems pretty overpriced at £320, I'd honestly rather buy this 780ti on offer than a 970 that was more expensive. Also get a free mat and a game you could sell for £20 making it a £280 purchase for what is still pretty much the 2nd fastest single card behind the 980.

That MSI cooler looks way worse and I bet it costs much less than the proper nvidia one.

The nvidia shroud does a much better job at blowing air out of the back without having an annoying fan whine.
