I'm due to take delivery of my shiny new BFG 680i Motherboard today how is everyone getting along with these new motherboards. I have been reading other forums and seen some good and some really bad stories.

Yea i know my bad! Hopefully it will get spotted and moved by a mod. I was asking as i know they are all the same reference motherboards how everyone who owns them are getting on with them.

I have the EVGA 680i board, the ASUS 650i board and yesterday my Abit IN9 arrived after a lengthy pre-order from a competitor.

The EVGA is an excellent board and I've not had a moments trouble with it as most of the debugging had been done by the time I got mine at the very end of last year. The Abit looks like a motherboard struggling to justify the very, very high price - with the bundled wifi card etc., but in reality the board stills seems very much a 680i and I'm glad I pre-ordered it before the prices went silly. NO, it's the ASUS that has really caught me as it genuinely does almost everything the others do but it's half the price of the EVGA and a third the revised price of the Abit.

I think you'll be very pleased with your BFG as all the 680i's are very good boards and apparently it comes with a really nice t-shirt :p

Does it! i checked the BFG website and that wasn't mentioned with what was included only Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter and other niggly bits. That would be smart if it comes with that. LOL! I knew the graphics cards did but theres no mention of it on BFG's Website.

I have been reading some horror stories, capacitors squealing loud under heavy loads, burnouts and i thought o dear what have i bought but it's good to see those that have them are having positive results.

Got Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon. Only problem I had so far was running with a PS2 keyboard - once I chucked that out I was fine.

Yes Ghost Recon and a new nightdress for my little one (T Shirt), came with my BFG.
I had the ps2 problem with my board, and I emailed BFG, who granted came back quite quickly, but knew nothing about it, but said they would make a note.

They didn't know about? Well done for telling them. They have a good BIOS flashing method, so they should put it to use and fix this in the future. :)

I saw the brief review for the BFG 680i on OcUK's main site. Can anyone else confirm that it is only when you restart your PC that you get the error? I assume it'll just be a simple case of shutting down and then fresh powering on until a BIOS fix is released. I ask as I like my cheapo PS2 keyboard. :p

Im using a usb keyboard and mouse so hopefully it will be fine, you'd think by now it would be resolved. I didn't get a T-Shirt in my Box! Unless it's under the motherboard?

Yes it was me that reviewed it. Yes if you do total power down it fixes it. Interestingly, on evga's website forums or faq, it says "no known cure to the error 25 and to RMA the board" it was their website that had someone mention about the ps2 keyboard.

I got the error first time I powered on. It's new keyboard time for you ;)
