Oh good god, what have you done rroff, the red army will now be on your back.... :p

and so the war begins again......... :p

Haha, sometime this thread is downright amusing to read and sometimes it is possibly the most annoying thing as well :p

BTW, just encase you take it the wrong way, I am not jumping on your back and saying that was an anti-ATI comment, it's just you know how things work around here :p, you say one bad thing about either nvidia or ATI, well I am sure you and most others know what happens from here now.............. :D :p

He's simply stating a "possibility" that's all :p But to be honest it's not a big deal at all, as basing on pass experience of posts by people siding with the red camp, if any 'big problems' they claim the green camp got also happen to their beloved red camp as well, they would simply dismiss it as a minor problem with nothing to concern about, or try to convince others that it might be no good, but green is worse :p

Yeah I know.

Wasn't suggesting it would be that way but with the rumours of being late and clock speeds not finalised it would be funny if it ended up like that after all the slating Fermi took.

Both companies having new cards ready to launch around the same time is always good news - price wars mean we all get a better deal no matter which cards we go for! :D

Also be interesting to see what happens to the 480 and 5870 card prices

Lol, yeah I know, but you know how all the good old fan boys react when something bad is said about there brand of GPU (both nvidia and ATI that is :p, trying to keep the peace a wee bit here :p)

Lol true :p

I haven't actually really been following much about the cards lately, more the bashing and trolling etc. :p especially with raven denying that was his youtube account late last night :p :D, was a good laugh before bed :D

Lol yeah, it would be pretty funny if it did end up the same way as last year but vice versa with both companies :p

Although I reckon if that did happen tbh, ATI would get a lot worst/more abuse from the nvidia fanboys than what the ATI fanboys give out last year, saying that though, IF it is the case of it being hot, power hungry etc. then I don't think it is too bad giving abuse in a joking/sensible manner :p, cause at the minute it's bad and the cards aren't even out/reviewed yet, just everyone is jumping in and defending there brand etc. going by rumors/rough benchmarks that may or may not be fake etc.

Hmmm, just thinking I better go and get my self prepared for tonight actually :p:

- Popcorn - check

- A few drinks - check

Now time to sit back and enjoy this forum partially :D :p

It would be a little bit ironic if the 580 came out first, on time, ran cool and quiet and the 6970 was delayed, had problems hitting intended clock speed and was noisey and hot.

Imagine if that was the case. You could do a find and replace on a certain somebodies posts, just replace Nvidia with AMD...;)

So 580 reviews later tonight?

I'm ready!

Not being funny but ALL ATI cards are noisy (ok except any passively cooled ancient ones). Even with my spanky new 6870 when you crank the fan up it sounds like a harrier jump jet - luckily in my case the fan stays at low speeds so I can't hear it but trust me if you manually set it to 50% or above it is one loud sucker (or blower) :D

This is so true! My 5770 sounds like a hoover when it reaches 50% fan speed!
