Looks like they may potentially have another card to fight off the AMD launch... if true, what is the perf diff between 3080 and 3090? like 15-20%? this card will sit between the middle of the two.

Price will be interesting, also Vram amount.

3090 owners, would you feel jibed by this? i am guessing not as if you are happy to pay the money for the 3090 i think you probably dont care too much.

LOL! That's simply too funny.

I guess we know what the deal is with this poor supply. It's just jebaiting all around! Nvidia wanted to be first to show something but didn't want to actually battle it out until AMD puts out their cards too.

there was always gonna be something to fill the huge price gap between 3080 and 3090.

Just need nvidia to make up their mind on what that is! Could change again by next week

3070 spot looks like it could be a battleground - some sources claiming nVidia has a ton of salvage GA102 and GDDR6X parts that would be put out as a GPU below the 3080 with an odd VRAM amount and lower VRAM frequency.

Only 512 cuda cores less than a 3090 and rumoured to be 12gb.

A slightly cut down 3090 that most people wont notice the difference in real life.

A 3080ti winning the silicon lottery will be faster than most 3090s.

If prices at £1000 to £1200 its going to **** off all those that managed to get a 3090 in the queue.

Isn't this pretty much what happened with the 1080ti and most other gens apart from the 20 series? Seems standard practice to me.

Can vaguely remember it came in about the same performance as the titan for not much more than a 1080. And they were hard to buy then so getting a 3080ti will be fun this time around unless they magically pull some stock from somewhere.

Can't see any recreational 3090 owners being that bothered if they've got that kind of money to throw around and if they're using it to make money then it will have probably paid for itself by the time the 3080ti comes out.

If they buy the 3090 then money is of zero consequence to them

Nope this would be the first time a xx70 ti, xx80, xx80 ti and (supposedly) titan would be made from the same die..

So I was speculating if Nvidia will be releasing a larger GA101 to maintain the perf difference that they'd be comfortable with..

You got to remember that Nvidia has been marketing the A100 Tesla based on a much larger die, seems logical that they might build something midway for the geforce line

I've never really delved into the die types. So is this why all the cards are looking to be more packed together performance wise this time around? If they release a 3080ti it's going to be ridiculously squished at the top end.
