NVIDIA RTX 50 SERIES - (PRE)ORDER DISCUSSION **NO COMPETITOR HINTING**

The Competitor With the Queues has added a new FAQ with a few new tidbits. A couple of interesting bits quoted below.

On melted connectors
So far we have not received any claims from customers about melted connectors. We recommend either using the connector cable that comes with the GPU or an ATX 3.1 certified PSU that supports the 12V-2X6 connector. You can find recommended PSUs on this page under the heading ‘Is your PC ready for GeForce RTX 50 Series GPUs?’ just under the ‘NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 50 SERIES LINE UP’ section.
Small sample size, obviously, but it's reassuring that one of the UK's larger vendors hasn't had any returned with this. Alongside the relative lack of new additions to the reddit megathread, it gives some cause for hope that the issue is rare. The point on ATX 3.1 PSUs mirrors what others here have said.

On pre-order price increases
As per the ‘order with confidence’ messaging it is possible that the price of a pre-ordered GPU could go up in price in the time that you are waiting. REDACTED is doing everything that we can working with our trusted partners to not need to increase the price of any customers pre-order as we understand that this carries significant inconvenience. Factors that could affect the pricing are a significant change in GBP to USD exchange rates, or brand partners informing us of a significant price change to our buy in pricing. Unfortunately, both of these factors are out of our control. To date, despite buy in prices going up slightly since launch, we have not increased the price of any customer pre-orders instead reducing our margins to keep pricing fair. We will continue to do this where possible with the support of our trusted partners.
Lots of hedging there, but if true (and we've seen no evidence here to the contrary) at least they haven't increased prices for anybody who's had a card shipped so far. I worry about how long that will hold if shortages continue. More confirmation that some AIBs have increased their pricing to retailers.

Yeah hopefully ... I picked this card thinking not many others would and Id receive it sooner. Can't imagine ocuk would put cards up for sale with pre orders not fulfilled.

I believe none have shipped today as I think it was a late delivery so I’d suspect all will ship out tomorrow including yours. :)

Please post here if it ships, if you don’t have a shipping notification by say 3pm drop CS an email and they can sort it for you.

Hi

Can you please clarify some info

So you have customers that have pre-ordered 5090 GPU's

Asus Tuf and Zotac Amp Extreme

Now OCUK have made various drops selling the exact same cards on the website, being sold in a very short time

Why would you sell these cards on the website if customers have paid OCUK have active pre-orders for the same product ?

Wouldn't it be OCUK 1st priority to clear up these pre-orders first ?

Seems very unfair for people who paid and are waiting yet OCUK selling the same cards for an extra £50 or £100

Well hopefully got an MSI Inspire 5080 ordered, got a notification of a stock drop for the rainforest. Said there were 6 cards in stock, I put one in basket, went to checkout and had gone pretty much straight away. Checked again a couple of mins later and said was another 13 in, so jumped and managed to get one. Payment is pending and says they’ve received the order so we shall see.

How much is that? I was eyeing that card but only that retailer has it and it’s difficult to get hold of.

I was originally #117 in queue for an Astral OC 5090 on launch day on another site, I dropped down to #110 gradually as people pulled out of the queue over the last few weeks.
I checked today and I've jumped 21 positions to #89.

Hopefully now production has started up it keeps coming down at a decent rate, my RX 580 is long overdue for retirement lol
I could only dream this was the Suprim queue. It's not like it's even being whittled down with small stock drops either. Just nowt. I really do hope that MSI are going to drop the megaton of stock because their factories are churning them out a rapid clip

How much did you pay for the Astral?

I'm seeing a lot more stock coming through on various retailers, things are looking good, I expect next month to be even better for those in queues and those without.

It's not too different for the suprim liquid. 93 to 74. I think it's 14 cancellations Vs 5 shipped unless they got some unannounced single card drops some days

After sending my 5090 back due to excessive coil whine, I'm back on the hunt again guys, or at least I'm trying to see if I can get a replacement from here but who knows what they'll respond with

This has not happened.
If stock gets booked in that stock is assigned to pre orders first.

Anything that appears online will be free stock all pre orders have their stock assigned and will ship, if it does not they need to contact CS to find out why their order is not shipping as their allocated card will still be in stock allocated to their order. :)

ASUS TUF 5090 we have had none on sale as we still have pre orders.

ASUS TUF 5090 OC I believe all pre orders cleared now and hence some maybe on sale.

Zotac 5090 AMP we had 50 land today and all pre orders cleared and some spare stock which sold out in under a minute. No more pre orders outstanding but as this batched arrived late today all the pre orders and sales from today will ship tomorrow.

I think I got a zotac within that one minute... Any chance you oversold or should all the orders be covered by the stock?

50! That's insane... Tbh though Zotac has been holding onto stock and didn't deliver any prior since launch
