@Gibbo
Any idea on when stock will come in for the preorders for 5070tis? e.g. zotac, is there a shipment coming and that's why we can preorder?
OCUK had the tuf non-oc in stock 3 or so weeks ago for around that price, or just over. Maybe if that happened again (unlikely based on What ASUS are supplying) i would jump.
Agreed. Utter madness isn’t it. Just ASUS knowimg they can milk their customers.Still can't work out a sensible reason why the OC Tuf is still a ridiculous amount more than the non OC (300-400?).
Which particular stock code is it, Zotac has a few, but yes shipments are on the way.![]()
Agreed. Won't be bothering with the queue place again that's for sure. They took probably 1000+ pre-orders for each model and they must have had the least stock in out of all the retailers.Ocuk/Gibbo on the ball with gpu supply, no one else in UK come close.
This is (hopefully) very unlikely to be an issue for many, but depending on the combo of the manufacturer and the retailer you could increase your chances of going to ‘RMA hell’.
This is particularly the case for a major online shopping platform which has typically very good customer service / returns, that drops off a cliff after 2 years. Where the manufacturer wants the retailer to deal with raising the RMA (which I think is the case for Gigabyte at least) they can just say “nope, it’s after 2 years, deal with them directly.” - I’ve read of this happening.
Meanwhile, if you go with a PC specialist shop (like OcUK) they will ‘know the drill’.
I’m not sure what ‘high street’ retailers are like, but considering they sometimes ship out 5090s without boxes… yeah, who knows!
Reading through this thread this was exactly my thought. Times have certainly changed.Love how £2160, still over MSRP is seen as cheap!

Not true, AIB 5070 Ti and 5080 hit the UK MSRP a while ago.MRSP is for founders edition only, not AIB cards.
That’s just because they can acquire and sell thousands of units and make the price possible. Typically AIBs even the base cards are still above mrsp.Not true, AIB 5070 Ti and 5080 hit the UK MSRP a while ago.
It's only below the UK MSRP which is now based on outdated exchange rates.The 5070 at £499 is actually below MSRP, that's pretty impressive to see for the current market - a rarity indeed.
Might be enticing if it wasn't for the 12GB VRAM. I got a 9070 for £539 but with them now being closer to £600 the 5070 certainly looks better than it did before at the current price.
No body should buy a 5070.
Whiny... Caps? Joke or not, it's not the caps that whine (they never do and physically can't). It's instead parts that can actually vibrate (as in the end that's what sound in general is - vibrations), which usually means coils.Its those very costly whiny caps which they also put in the Astrals and Suprims
