NVIDIA to Unveil GeForce GTX TITAN P at Gamescom

1080Ti I can see quite easily being £900-1000. Titan with its 16gb HBM2 etc I can see being £1300+

It was hard enough buying two 1080's at £600 each never mind two Ti's at £1000+ each.

As much as I love top end enthusiast gear. There becomes a limit. Especially at those prices.

Hehe. It was hard enough for me buying only ONE at seemingly cost price using only some tax return funds, but buying a 21.9 monitor kinda forced my hand. Next card would probably be another 1080 for 2nd hand when Volta hits. I've had my 'new' purchase for this decade!

Agreed. A bag of golf bats can cost you 10x what a high end gaming rig would.

I pay £46 for a dozen Pro V1 gold balls and can easy lose 4 of those a game. If I do that many, I switch to anything that I have found on route, as it isn't worth losing more for such a bad game :D

Green fees over the course of a year add up a ton, too.

Though $10,000 set of clubs seems quite insane even by club standards....that truly is mostly wealthy-man territory.

I am a member of my local course and my annual membership was just over £600, so not bad and you don't need to pay anymore if you only play that course but that is boring and away days are fun.

Edit:

Sorry, massively off topic.

Anyone who purchases a Titan for gaming is wealthy, not only on a global scale, but among PC gamers. Who are already in the wealthy group in terms of disposable income. That's not insulting. Run to your safe space if you need to, but Titan's are ridiculous. Nice cards, but way to expensive to make any kind of real sense. Free speech is wonderful, is it not?

What is this "safe space" you talk about that I run to?

So Greg If I was you I would dump the golfing membership and buy another 1080 for some SLI fun. ;)

No chance lol. Mind you, my golf game stutters far more that SLI, so not a bad shout :D

Its a student thing :) Or maybe somewhere in the back of your PC's case, if you can fit in there. Sadly I can't any more, too fat nowadays.

Haha, I can climb under my desk and rock if that helps? I am also far too fat for my case but a few beers and I will give anything a go :D

I am not wealthy at all, in fact I do a boring factory job.

I also don't drive where as most of the people on these forums do. A lot of those that do drive will spend far more on their cars than I will ever spend on PC parts.

High end customs maybe but most places where doing references around the £525+

I managed to get mine for £509 each :)

Paid £575 for the MSI gaming 6G's returned them upon my choice for watercooling. Bought two EVGA SC reference which were £599.99 at the time.

Not forgetting the pound was a lot stronger then aswell!

When it is comes to money it just ends up being what you spend it on.

I could go on a night out and get takeaways most weekends for a few months or i could go out and get takeways once in awhile and buy a titan p that doesnt mean i am wealthy it just means i was frugle and spent my money on something i wanted more.

Or you could do better and wait for the Ti at half the cost ;)
