i know this has probably been done to death now but i was away when it was so i'm starting it again.

why is it that an nvidia 7900 running at 700MHz can compeat with an ATi X1900 running at 1400MHz ?

i know ATi cards run pretty hot and arn't the most reliable, and when it comes to X-fire there's no competision when it's compared to SLi... but on a GPU to GPU comparison how can a chip runing double the clocks not have a much higher market share?

it's not like there's much price differance betwene them either

it can't, luckely for Nvidea the x1900 only run at 650mhz stock ;)

you're confusing the memory speed with the core speed, as far as each are consurned they are pretty much neck and neck

oops :p

oh well, that's a quick answer to my question, and at least i'm reasured that's i'm on the right side of the fence being an nvidia fanboy.
