HI there

As everyone is trying to work out what prices will be what, the below is a very good idea of what pricing to expect once the dust has settled by end of this week. Some of the EOL cards at the moment are absolute bargains.

Expect these price points by end of this week:-

GTX 460 768MB = £105 - £115
5830 1024MB = £115-£130 **EOL** ***Practically 5850 performance - BARGAIN***
6850 1024MB = £130-£140
GTX 460 1024MB = £140-£160
5850 1024MB = £130-£150 **EOL** ***Stock None Existent***
6870 1024MB = £170-£190
5870 1024MB = £180-£200 **EOL** ***Nothing sub £200 beats this***
GTX 470 1280MB = £190-£220 **EOL**
6950 2048MB = £220-£230 ***Expect £10 price increase in January***
GTX 480 1536MB = £250-£270 **EOL**
GTX 570 1280MB = £250-£290
6970 2048MB = £285 - £320 ***Expect £20 price increase in January***
GTX 580 1536MB = £350-£450 **Supply & Demand will keep this high**
6990 4096MB = £450-£500

Any card marked **EOL** expect them to be completely gone by end of January, which basically makes cards like the 5830, 5870 and GTX 480 absolute bargains now at their clearance prices, especially the 5870!

Hope this is off use. :)

P.S. Do expect to pay more for cards with uprated cooling and overclocks etc. on top of the above prices. :)

£350-£450 GTX 580 why such a big difference???it include overclock edition or due to very poor supply?

Poor supply, if there was 1000's in the channel you'd probably see them going for around £370ish, but stock is tighter than a tight thing, hence prices as high as £500 and they still sell.

@Gibbo

i believe you can answer this question

if you were building a rig for yourself what will you put inside your system if there is no issue of budget

HD 6970 or GTX 580

No budget, spend as much as I want, then a pair of GTX 580's along with 3x BenQ 24" 3D Monitors. :D

You did say no budget. ;)

If however I was building to a budget and wanted best value for money then either a pair of 6950 or a single 6970. :)

GTX 480 1536MB = £250-£270 **EOL**
GTX 570 1280MB = £250-£290

Not sure the 480 is a good buy over the 570. 570 is cooler users less power and slightly better performance.

Not a good deal.

This is a great post though Gibbo thanks especially in this economic climate and XMAS

Remember VAT 20% in january folks.

Does the 480 not pull it back at higher resolution, especially once you crank up the AA/AF due to 384-Bit interface and extra memory?

Gibbo, can we still expect to see this lower end of the price range this/next week now that the 6970 has been released?

Shall have to wait and see.

NVIDIA as of right now not willing to move on price, due to lack of supply and acceptable sales levels. So looks like lower end of that pricing might not be happening just yet or this side of XMAS.

Judging by the reviews though Gibbo, the prices increases you predict for the new year on the 69XX cards will surely be hard to justify now the reviews are out?

Seems that if anything people think they should drop a few more quid.

Completely disagree, since 8am this morning we sold an additional 50 cards. So there will be no price movement as its simply not needed. :)
AMD will be thinking the same because system integrators will do huge volumes on this card simply because AMD can provide volume and NVIDIA cannot.

Basically AMD have a true winner here. :)
