NVIDIA's & ATI's Latest Pricing as of end of this week!

Gibbo, can we still expect to see this lower end of the price range this/next week now that the 6970 has been released?

Shall have to wait and see.

NVIDIA as of right now not willing to move on price, due to lack of supply and acceptable sales levels. So looks like lower end of that pricing might not be happening just yet or this side of XMAS.

Judging by the reviews though Gibbo, the prices increases you predict for the new year on the 69XX cards will surely be hard to justify now the reviews are out?

Seems that if anything people think they should drop a few more quid.

Completely disagree, since 8am this morning we sold an additional 50 cards. So there will be no price movement as its simply not needed. :)
AMD will be thinking the same because system integrators will do huge volumes on this card simply because AMD can provide volume and NVIDIA cannot.

Basically AMD have a true winner here. :)

Fair enough, just going by what i had read others were suggesting.

I'm still struggling to make up my mind. If you weren't offering such a stonking deal with thay 5870 I would have brought a 6950 already!

I don't understand how that explains how the price can increase with them still selling fast.

Will u be getting any 570/580 deliveries next week? And can u match competitor on the price of the Asus 570?

I think what Gibbo is saying is that system builders and retailors can get the AMD stock and people dont want to wait for NV, so supply and demand(no matter what the reviews say) if you buy a pre built system and its got an AMD card in it you will be happy its a very low percentage of customers that will be picky, AMD are in a win win position unless NV can up there output which by all accounts an't going to happen. good marketing by AMD, thus they will be able to put price up in new year i would imagine.

I am amazed that some standard 6970s are being listed at £330 on a number of websites. That is a bonkers price given the performance compared to other offerings from both nVidia and AMD. And this price is expected to rise in January? Did they not get Monday's memo?
