NYE - Tried any new drinks?

I remember in the Smirnoff Penka Thread people were going to be drinking certain vodkas for the first time on NYE. What else did you lot drink for the first time and what did you think of it? Any recommendations?

I ended up drinking straight Smirnoff Black Label, along with other vodka-based wussy drinks like WDK Blue.

I went to a cocktail bar in Covent Garden, so I mainly drank martinis - vodka martini, chocolate martini, Scottish martini, French martini, espresso martini... the list was endless. Or at least, I don't remember the end of it.

Most of them were new to me, and they were of varying levels of niceness. I recommend the Scottish martini made with Hendrick's gin. V good.

O2 vodka. S'ok, nothing special
Some strange rum with cream from a squirty can on top. Ended in a most amusing spray of cream across the room from one of us

the drink invention of the evening comprised of cider, vodka and black currant (3:2:1, ish) in a pint mug - it was pink and seemed to do the job

it was a shame the 'mr slushy' never turned up - i was looking forward to boozy squishies

I didn't. I had redbull and vodka all night then read an article today which states that having that combo of fast and slow types of drink can really **** your heart up ¬_¬
