Your views please.

My take on the whole thing is that I belive that OJ is guilty but walked free from court so he aint guilty in the eyes of the law so he shouldnt have been asked to leave. However, i would do the same if i own the restuarant.

he owned the restaraunt - he can ask him to leave.

Stupid bloody **** heads trying to claim that eveything people do to them is racist.

DONT SWEAR

Don't know what the law on this in the US is but here can't companies/firms refuse to serve someone? For example, someone could walk into the pub I work at during the holidays and my boss could refuse to serve them and they'd have to leave.

So, even though he is technically not guilty, I think the owner is well within his rights to not want to have/serve OJ Simpson and to ask him to leave.

Sure you can deny to serve someone but on what grounds? I would have thought there should be a reason. But saying he wont serve him over a case he wasnt found guilty of might just be a little far fetched?

I think the restauranter has argued on the wrong grounds, I'm not certain about American law but in the UK he could refuse to serve him for any reason whatsoever i.e. if he didn't like OJs aftershave then that is as valid a reason as any other. People can then judge him for the refusal if they wish but there would be nothing illegal in the act of refusing itself. The owner simply didn't have to bring in whether he thought OJ was or wasn't guilty into the matter.

Fair play to the owner.

How ridiculous, it blatently wasn't on grounds of race. Although... We don't know anything about the steak house itself.

Can't they reserve the right to refuse service to anyone?

They usually do have a reason, and if he was attracting unwanted attention, that's bad luck.

Is that ok to throw him out of a resturant?

If the owner didn't want him in there then fair play to him. The only reason OJ (and or lawyer) is playing the race card is get some attention and get paid.

wasnt it that bint from the Hoogies or whatever they were called that said she would rather have her baby drown than have white people buy her music? now that REALLY winds me up.

I can't think of a band called the Hoogies (sounds like a form of nappy) but maybe you mean the Fugees? The woman in that case would be Lauryn Hill, I'm unaware of any quotes by her to that effect so perhaps if you have a source you could provide it? Thanks. :)

I seem to remember after the trial, OJ saying something like he wouldn't rest until the killer(s) were caught, then promptly went and spent the next 10 years playing golf.

I believe he was also found guilty in the civil case against him iirc.

Anway, glad he was asked to leave the resturant.
The murdering git. (allegedly)

Yes I agree, doesn't seem like Lauryn Hill (not like I know her but judging from inteverviews etc) to say a thing like that...
