After a long time searching for an email address or form I found one on their site and queried wether I could have bolt ons on my contract as I wanted more messages and had the max option. The reply I recieved said that 400 messages was £16 extra and the same price for 1000. I replied saying that I would like 1000 added for £16 to which they replied with...

I am sorry for the incorrect information provided to you in the previous email.

The charge for the '1000 text messages' Bolt On is £30.00 per month but not £16.00 per month. Please reply to this email if you want to add this Bolt On to your account. We will then add it from your next bill date (26 August 2006).

What can I do legally? They offered me a service for a price and are now changing the price, any ideas what I can say in reply?

TIA

Not a lot really as they sent you an email clearly saying that they messed up. It would have been different IF they had put that bolt on and then decided to change the charge but seeing as they havent then your pure out of luck...but nice try to get them to do it cheaper though..i commend your efforts;).

Doubt you'll get anywhere, e-mail disclaimer and T&Cs would cover any mishaps (knowing from previous companies I worked for in similiar circumstance)

an offer is only valid if it is accepted by the vendor. i.e if you saw a suit advertised for £10 boughtit, payed for it and left the shop they could not call you back and say... "sorry it's meant to be £100". However they can say before the sale is complete "sorry there's been a mistake" so i'm affraid because they saw it and told you about it they've covered themselves. :(
