Well, that depends.. I can achieve almost (795) 800 Mhz of OC on my 955 (from 3.2 to 3.95).. I have seen 965 CPUs up to 4.1-4.2, so I think it's worth it, specially for the price..
That 960T, for example, can be unlocked to a 6-cores CPU, but only if you're lucky enough...
The point is, if you don't think on making a big upgrade in the next months (maybe a year) to go, then it's a good investment from your current C2 CPU..
My advice: get a 980/970/965 C3 CPU and OC it.. All of them can achieve 4.0 easily..
But remember: not all pieces OC the same way, and there's this guy, Murphy, that sometimes draws his coin...
I see your point. Well I indeed don't plan to make a big upgrade yet, as I first need to upgrade my graphics card and monitor anyway, so I guess I'll stay with AMD !
I think getting a new cpu is the way then. I don't believe in murphy! Overall, luck evens out, so next time I'll get a great one
