** OCUK EXCLUSIVE - AK RACING & AROZZI GAMING CHAIRS **

I'm not looking forward to opening my 'Premium' chair now :( If the examples above are anything to go by, it will be going back to OCUK tomorrow.

I've just received my AK Racing Gaming Chair and put it together and must admit for the price the build quality isn't exactly spectacular, the paint on the base is scratched and scuffed, the packaging itself was in perfect condition so not damaged in transit, the plastic is flimsy and doesn't really fit the chair, the stitching doesn't look like it'll be a long lasting job but the overall construction feels sturdy and it's quite comfortable. Just wish it felt more finished considering the price of it. Certainly wouldn't consider buying another though even at half the price.

I feel sorry for those that have had a poor quality chair delivered to them, hopefully you can resolve any issues with OcUK directly. I kind of feel bad that mine has no damage or marks what so ever, given how disappointing this must feel to some who've already waited over a month for these, only to receive them less than perfect. Maybe it would be better to some degree if these were put together before leaving the warehouse and repackaged by OcUK?

The instructions are not great, while I have seen worse instructions before these could do with much improvement, they also are possibly for an earlier or later model as seen in step 7 both handles are actually on the same side rather than opposite sides.

Building was pretty straight forward, my advice would be to do steps 1 - 5, leave out step 6 for the moment (step 7 is already done for you), then put the base to one side, step 8 was virtually impossible to do as instructed, the bolts could do with being a little longer to make it far easier. The only way I could manage step 8 was to first unscrew the left side chair bracket off the bottom, this did make the sides a little easier but it was still a struggle and a few swear words!, then reattaching the left side bracket to the bottom section of the seat.

Steps 9, 10, 11, 12 & 13 are already done for you. Do 14, 15 and 16 in that precise order, be very careful with the placing of the plastic covers in 14 & 16 make 100% sure the two recesses inside are covering the bolt heads properly before screwing them down, don't over tighten them either.

Follow steps 17 & 18, step 19 is made easier by attaching the mechanism to the chair before the base as in step 6.

Disclaimer: Don't blame me if you follow my installation advice and still manage to F it up ;-)

@awesomeclaw, the bottom straps of the lumbar support don't need to go around the sides like you have it in your picture, they should go between the bottom and the back on the inside of the chair, its a tight squeeze but you can press down the foam enough to slide them through. The support pillow can also just be placed over the top of the headrest, rather than through the straps, not saying your way is wrong though BTW.

rjk, OcUK another negative review - what is going on here where are you with nothing to say?

For what it's worth, aside from the issues with the plastic I posted here, I can't find any other faults with my Premium Carbon chair. I've checked all over and everything else seems to be fine. Going to pick up some superglue to see if I can fix the issue with the plastic side panel not staying on

I can see 3 threads dangling from under the chair but a quick chop of those and everything else is okay.

I see a review of the AK on YT and it was badly marked/scuffed on plastic and some bad stitching.

These AK are near same as the GT Racing chairs correct style wise?

If so I watched another review on YT and they are said to be very narrow, the reviewer is 6+foot and carrying a bit of extra weight and said his bum will not fit in it ideally.

He basically squeezed down into it.

I am 6 foot and about 2 stone over so not sure if ideal and I do not want a car seat in my living room, need see real feedback on the range Arozzi.

So basically the chairs are rubbish and OcUK only secured the exclusivity because nobody else wanted them. :p

Oh well.

Cutting threads may lead to it coming undone later on, need to see if its the tied ends or not.

Surely the peeps Q/A them should have seen them and cut them if safe to do so.

Why are you going to glue it on instead of returning it for a refund, if you are so unhappy with it?

Just send it back? Spend less money on a better chair that you will be more happy with?

If it needs glue then it needs replacing or refunding!

I'm on the verge of cancelling my order now, BEFORE OC ship it out and maybe it is even before they get it into stock, on the second container delivery.

We need to hear from you guys at OC on this.

Glad I held off for the guinea pigs 1st.

I wanted a black Arozzi Enzo but TBH quality worried me and both these brands had little reviews online, the GT Racing brand is near same as the AK Design wise so I read a few of them.

I'm not - the chair itself is great and very comfy. My only disappointment is how they decided to use cheap plastic when the rest of the chair is of good quality. For the sake of sending it back, bit of glue to keep a panel in place seemed fine - but seeing as every review so far seems to be negative I'm thinking of sending it back. Someone's messed up big time on QA.

Will see what OcUK when someone has the courage to reply to us :p It'll only take me 20 minutes to return it to OcUK HQ.

Shame really :( This Ikea Markus chair will have to live on a little longer.

I had a gt one few days ago. Comfy but the mechaniam was faulty as well as the arm rests being stiff and the back not lining up correctly.
Dx racers are avaiable in europe for £200+19 postage at the end of august though

What about this (The one I got confused with DX) : GT Omega Racing Pro XL

Looks narrow at bum part as he says so does the AK's

I'll admit I'm very tempted to return it myself, overall it's not a bad chair, but you'd expect it to at least be better than it is, seems so far everyone has the same few complaints, base's paint job is rubbish, stitching could be much much better, cheap plastic on the sides just seems to be a cost cutting thing which actually ruins the overall finish of it. As Dynix has said, it's a comfy chair it just seems like the quality control failed and just let anything pass to get it out the door.

Who's going to be brave enough to phone OC and ask them to get get someone on here.

I'm convinced these are made in China and the factory have given AK/Arozzi and GT perfect samples so they thought great, we're good to go. Then the actual production run stock is garbage but the companies didn't bother to check them all. Seen this happen in the past on numerous occasions.
