I remember reading about a big OcUK meet in Edinborough on here a while ago, and wondered if anyone was planning anything similar?

The Motors meets are always fantastic, have some real fun and not just the driving - the banter is brilliant too.

I'd be willing to go anywhere for a good GD meet, I went to Oxford for a Motors meet, and even though I had to drive the M1 / M6 at 40mph due to the car messing about it was still brilliant.

So GD, what you got? :D

These always fail, people who want to do them are told to just pick somehwere to meet, as people just dither about where to meet.

So if you want one organise it.

If it's midlands-ish, I would consider going.

:)

There used to be big ones thanks to Matt Black down here in Pembrokeshire every year or so.

I'm not sure but I think the OcUK dons frown upon the meet (a little) because they don't have any control over them and what with the OcUK name being used and all.

Do they? There has been tonnes of Motors Meets this year and no don has ever taken exception to the OcUK name being used.

Organising meets are lots of work and people are reluctant to spend the time on it. I've got enough on my plate organising Don/UB meets.

It's not that hard, choose time + date + activity. Getting people to actually show up is the hard part.
