The 590 realy does seem pointless, now more pricey than a 1660 and twice the power. Unless you want the free games. Also the £20 from a 580 to a 1660 seems like a no brainier to me as well.

Im currently at work and cant watch these. . How does it stack up against the 580/590?

The 1660 is around 5% to 7% faster than a 590. I imagine AMD will drop the prices of the 590 to match nVidia's 1660 and keep the games bundle as a differentiator. The 580 will also go down a few dollars to remain competitive, this should do AMD until Navi launches in the next few months.

5-7% isnt as bad as i thought.

Do you have a decent case and power supply. If so Vega 56/64 are no problem to run what so ever. My Vega 64 Red Devil sits in the 60's while gaming on the stock fan curve.
Old pc that is in urgent need of upgrading but can't get myself to spend the money. Old TJ07 case and 500w PSU. Might post thread to see what people have to say are my options.

true but you are not going to find a vega56/64 in a laptop (small ITX builds) due to the power and heat but we will with 1660/1660ti.

Its not all just about the power bill
