OCUK H100 RGB & Hydro series h55

Quick question about connecting these to the mobo.

I bought the H100 RGB from here, it comes with 2 RGB fans that have the controller, the controller then connects to a 3 pin on the mobo, the cooler itself has its own 2 cables a sata and a 3 pin connection.

What is the 3 pin for?

I also bought the 1080ti seahawk x which i believe uses the hydro series h55 cooler, how does it connect?

Just wondering if I'll have a mess of cables? As I want to keep it neat and can I control the fan speeds automatically by cpu/gpu temp?

The 3 pin on the cooler willbe so that the motherboard can report that a cooler is fitted and working.

No idea with the graphics card sorry, but you'll have a few cables to deal with again.

alright cheers, can I just not plug it in and disable it from the motherboard or does it need it to gain temp readings?
