I'd love to go, not too bad to get to (apart from the ferry crossing) but, not sure a hardtail would be up to the job and other excuses too, mainly to hide the fact that I'm too unfit

Thats just for the people who don't fall off, make everyone else feel better :p

I'm safe then!

Shame I'm at the wrong end of the country!

Rubbish excuse. I got the Wales meet even though I was in Czech Republic at the time.

A hardtail is fine for Glentress. Especially the climbs. It can be 'fun' for some of the decents. There is a blue route that is fun if you are not up to the 30k black. I prefer the Red but I'm up for doing all 3 plus Inners XC. I might even take a DH bike too.

Put me down as a yes for the weekend. Friday night through to Sunday - camping.:)

I did consider somewhere more central in the UK or wales but don't think there is anywhere that really competes with Glentress and has enough for a full day or weekend worth of riding.

The provisional date in my original post isn't do able for myself, I have updated my diary and can confirm a date of September 4th-5th this also gives people more notice to organise themselves and doesn't coincide with the bank holiday weekend next month.
