1050 seems good, the 1050ti seems to get very close to the rx470 to feel you should just go for that.
No. Anything less than a 970/470 wont be much of an upgrade for you.
I am planing to get a small card for casual 1080p gaming around Christmas, maybe black Friday will drop one of the 1050 models to the acceptable £100 to £110 region. Some of the benchmarks show that the card is more powerful then 960 so if it goes down on price maybe its a good buy for small build occasional gaming.
I think the 1050 loses to the 460 because the latter stays below £100. That £9x instead of £1xx is a big psychological hurdle for budget sales, and the performance difference isn't significant enough to swing it.
The 1050ti is just a poor buy compared to the 470 as well.
