OcUK Photo Comp - Season Eleven : Round Two - "In Flight" DISCUSSION

Really nice shot Chet, i just cant help thinking it needs something in the edit, to give it some punch, (saturation/contrast?) it looks a little flat to me.

I hope that comes across as constructive, as its how its ment.

Cheers again to everyone :), i've just started out so all criticism is taken as constructive! That's one of the reasons i've entered the competition.

Just noticed what the theme was for this month, you may have seen I posted 3 pics from skiing in the random photos thread, and I was going to enter one. My favourite is this one;

but I'd be interested in any opinions and ideas before submitting it.

^^ Go for it :D

Been working on mine for a while (well the concept anyway), not fantastically happy with it (the picture was better in my mines eye), but its my place holder for now ;)

I love the style of it Wedge, although it does niggle at me slightly that the shadow is "wrong", both from where the sun is and how it would look even if the sun was in the right place.
Sorry, that sounds overly critical, hope you get what I mean.

^^ I do mate, been editing it on and off for 2 days :(

Hows that? (turned shadow round :o)

First Photo comp photo ever up, was a dreary day and some loony in my street threw out a loaf of bread. Managed to catch a gull flying about =]

Really not happy with the photo, it's nice but the ISO was far too high, bloody auto ISO, the second it goes dark it cranks it up but never seems to come back down :S

Following my performance in round one, i've 'punched it up' - I do like it a bit better now :)
