I preferred your original! :p

What is that white line to the left-centre of the picture?

Typical! :D

The white line is a cricket stump we were using earlier. Didnt notice it in the picture and now its been pointed out it's very irritating!

OK, i've had a bit more of a play and now i'm down to two final versions that I can't decide between...

I actually prefer the second out of those two, 1) the cloud is in a better position 2) and so is the runner 3) no distracting shadow from the runner.

What am I saying....no the first one....use the first one :D

Still don't suppose it matters which one, both are better than mine

#2 because of the lens flare present in #1, and the person running just looks better in #2.

#2 looks slightly skew-whiff to me though. I think it needs rotating anticlockwise by about 1 degree.

Its amazing how easily you can overlook something in processing but once its pointed out to you its so obvious you can't ignore it!

Anyway, think i'm going with 2. I've had a play with the rotation but i'm finding it hard to judge whether its straight or not as the horizon is quite busy. Anyway this looks straight to me, what do you think?

And a big thank you for the helpful comments!

Nonsense, it's clearly big enough for any monitor. ;) Or were you talking about bill and ben repeats?

Goodness Raymond, that girl is nice!

Anyway, I nearly changed my picture but it didn't have enough DOF in it as I was using my 75-300 f/4-5.6 lens, and the bokeh is a lot, lot better on my 70-210mm f4...so my entry stayed :)

Good luck all :D Some really good last minute entries there!

Cant wait! My first entry ever. :D

On another not my keyboards gone mental! No apostraphes and cursors not responding! eek!

Got my "entry" up... this month has flown by for me and not a lot of photography happened in it... :(

Photo taken yesterday at the annual pipe bands championship in Dumbarton, Scotland.
