Need more sweets :(

Struggled to come up with a idea for this one, then remebered that a work friend had this pretty cool retro camera, so took it down the beach on the first sunny day this month and snapped away for a while, it suddenly dawned on me that Beach Huts are pretty retro aswell. Et Voila.

Sweet shot mate, really like that!

Is it made up of 2 images?

I was refering to the rest of the image really, all that bokeh, how did it get there, i dont get how u get that, judging whats in the veiwfinder?

That make sense? its late....still rally like it though ;)

Well with this camera you have to look in the top of it to be able to see the photo. So i am looking down towards the floor at the top of the camera but the picture in the camera is what is in front of me. Does that make sense

Added one yesterday, spent about half an hour taking macro shots of a record at various levels of macroness so might replace it with something else or update the processing.
Really need to clean my sensor though(!)

Not sure it's retro enouh anyway

well, the entry is in...

went for a 50s theme, couldn't decide between this and the 20's posted in the 'post your pics' thread.

This set has been popular on my flickr so hopefully the judges will ses something in the image, but i wonder if it works better as a set than a single image. I am also torn between the entry and this ....

50's retro by adamau5, on Flickr

Had loads of fun doing it too which is the main thing.

This week end i am shooting a harpist in come cool lactions around notts.. should be fun, just need to be careful arounf the harp costs a wee bit of 20k!

re the pose, i too prefer the pose above but i think the entry fits the theme better, you can see more of the retro cardigan + pearls. blame the photographer for not checking composition regularly enough. I am quite tempted to swap them...

Exposure, I had them printed today to check as i have just started PP using a new monitor (dell IPS panel), Printed they look just about right to my eyes, on the dell they look slightly less hot, on my old tn panel they look a way too hot but then prints used to come out grey (WHAT A MINEFIELD and yes i will get calibrated!).

Edit ---

IF anyone if confident in there calibrated monitor - I aimed to have a pale PP ( a slightly bleached look) , verging on over but not too hot. How is the shot above looking on your screen?

Unlikely I'll get an entry in for this month which is annoying. I've been laid up ill all week and also have an eye infection so unless it clears up pronto I'm stuffed! :(
