tbh its a joke sorry it is.

numerous pictures in pc section over size allowed yet i get a warning for using a picture at 1024 . a 17 monitor does this and its hardly hi res few hundred kbs lol.

not only that the way it was handled was poor.

i asked why the original picture was edited . no answer given  so i assumed the picture link was either broken or site was having issues as no answer was given. then im greeted with you have a warning

i will be phoning ocuk tomorrow to continue this and how admins are enforcing rules and so on . i spent many years on here 2002 was when i first came here and have spent a lot of money here and sent a lot of money ocuks way through groups buying numerous high end pcs and lots of high end pc components.

Demanding everyone should have to use small images just because you have a slow data connection sometimes sounds more stupid.
So you recommend then letting everyone post large images just because some people have fast connections & large monitor screens sounds perfect

What I think is more of a joke is this thread. I can't believe people care soo much about something like this and willing to whine about it. It is how it is just leave it and get some sleep. You got a infraction on a online forum it's not the end of the world. Africa aids people dieing and stuff etc.

You posted an image that was against the rules.

I edited so that it was a link

You then edited it back as an image

I infracted you to highlight that it was against a rules

You then moaned about being pointed out about the rules, not once, but twice.

What do you expect to happen?

Yep, it does sound good doesn't it? Not restricting everyone based on the circumstance of a minority.

Oh thanks, i wanted a mature discussion a debate on a rule and my thread is a joke , haven't insulted anyone and remained calm throughout

This is why GD is a pathetic part of the forum full of people with an attitude problem willing to give someone grief over simple things

With decent forum software it would automatically resize the images and you can click for the full image.

Ah i remember that one, if you pressed the + sign it would increase to it's original unpress it and it would turn back to 800x+

Not just that, but if you don't have a big monitor and fast connection that you should turn images off.

If you're going to moan about being on a 2G connection then sure, turn them off, it's much more logical that those people just disable images rather than hamstring everyone to small images instead. I browse perfectly well on a phone without needing to turn images off, you won't see any such moaning from me.

It amazes me that on a tech forum, the chosen solution is restrict things for everyone just in case a few people would be a bit inconvenienced.

Most people have a fast connection, it isn't 1999 any more.

Ok, then include a 1024 image linking to a bigger one?

But then I'll still have to resize the image in an image program, upload the big ones, upload the 1024 etc. Too much. Imageshack sucks before you suggest that.

Attitude is all from you mate. I was referring to DG calling the rule a joke. Now go have some ice-t and chill out. I know the whole worlds against you as you can't post a image bigger than 1024 and it's a massive issue in all our lives that must be rectified right away!

Give over

Next time mention the member not the person who created the thread, it isn't a massive issue i'm having a MATURE discussion over something that i'd like change to suit a wider group. If larger images are to be spoiler tagged only than that would suit both sides

Agreed. But if people can't follow the rule now they sure as hell won't remember to spoiler tag it. Just complicating matters. Keeping things simple is what makes this forum what it is and popular.
