When is the running order being drawn up Gareth?

ill draft one up and amend the first post with it, however, its very much down to when people arrive, im going to try and put things like gibbos stang, wills P1, etc near the end so everyone can see them, however if we have any cars with similar/same wheelbase, they will run back to back

Oh dear, no puma then :(

tbh, im keen to get the puma on there, its running a bit pants, and id like to know what it is (I think its a combination of the hole in the exhaust, the clogged air filter, the original spark plugs, and the dodgy oil... but we shall soon see...

did I mention I didnt use optimax this week?

*I think thats me covered for lowest result now...

HI there

Well all finished cleaning the car, best not rain now. :)

Make sure you all bring cameras as I am not so great at taking photo's so feel free to snap up plenty of photos of my car please so that I have some decent ones of her. :D

See ya all tomorrow! :)

rg-tom is being bought a rather nice cool drink when he arrives at the pub as he is the official meet photographer ;)

as for cleaning the car, im going via the 24 hour jetwash centre in cheltenham when I leave tomorrow morning I think .. but I might not bother.

Keates, I dont have you listed as a confirmed runner, so if you arrive, superb, but if not, dont worry :) .. however in the provisional running order in drawing up, your running before the other mondeo, so try and be ontime.

lets use the fast lane of the m4 all just park up.....

or lets find the brow of a hill, best angle I reckon for decent shots especially on a nice day

I've got a few ideas of places we could try, i'll have to have a proper think tomorrow when I know who actually turns up

as for running order, see my provisional list here

order

the running order is based on imo what people want to see, and people who are late for one reason or another can see things like the stang, p1, etc... bare in mind of course, if your late, I end up flapping, and merlin has to try and calm me down again ;) :p

Come on explain, I've never been to a rolling road before so I am bound to ask stupid questions. So do you know the answer? :)

yeah, they keep their foot planted till the power tails off, iirc, wills s2k got to 9250 rpm.. but thats kinda designed for revs ;)

mine needs to be at 90c+ to lessen det problems, I think ill lose about 0.2 bar for the temp so if I make 300+ I'll be a hppy chappy, you will easily win the top BHP/torque :D

there is a 3.0 diesel beemer and another v8 that might stand a chance at top torque....

as for temperatures, if it gets insane ill shuffle the order around, dont worry :)

Well its got 3000 miles on the clock so engine is run in and they supposedly product maximum power when passing 4000 miles, so its getting there.

I am unsure if there is a limiter, if there is its gotta be somewhere between 6200-6500. I've never taken the car past 6100ish. Maximum torque I believe on these motors is around 4000rpm with maximum power between 5800-6200rpm. Think I will just tell them to keep revs sub 6300. :)

the last person to tell powerstation not to rev beyond a point was lowe, he said he'd come off the power when the revs dropped, and not at 5k like lowe asked... over 1000 rpm later the graph was still climbing....

Think of it this way, it wont rev that high if its not designed to do so... and well before then, id imagine the power will tail off, and the foot will come off the gas

In the fiesta I "think" it was number 7 or 11.

I will ask Will in the morning, he may be able to remember. (I think they have the same fusebox (puma and Fiesta))

indeed, I think my engine is his, bored out, with Variable Cam timing.... is he coming along?
