OCUK RWYB Drag Meet 2 - Saturday March 25th - Santa Pod Raceway

What a great day! I think the excitement of emptying out the MX5 and adding more boost was the best bit, we were all willing you on haha.

My times...

It was an ace day.

The excitement between us today was great. Thanks for the fun :)

Also, Curborough and Santa Pod in less than a week. It's been great.

Epic day.

Lots of PBs smashed, great weather and huge amounts of excitement from everyone. Especially when it came to everyone coming to pillage anything that weighed anything from my car for that last run of the day

thats my times. 15.5477 is best :D Was a great day, i really enjoyed it. Much better than the last one as there was much less waiting and the weather was great!

@kindai you can see why you thought i didnt start well on that first run, i was sitting on the line for 1.2 seconds, so you were probably nearing the 60ft before i even started XD

Just got back. Thanks for the excellent day. Last run was bit crap was I let off wondering what the BMW was doing. I reckon more grip would get me 15.0. I'm happy with the results will post them up later.

What a fantastic day, got a lot more runs in this time!

Did three runs at 37psi rear, car struggled to hook but was stable throughout run.
Did two runs at 28-30psi, car hooked better and stable, yielded my best run of 12.9@115
Did three runs at 24-25psi, car seemed to hook better but was unstable and rather sideways on 1-2 and 2-3 gear changes.
Last run went back to 28-30psi, even tried a line lock but it was so smooth I just thought my clutch was burning so bailed the line lock and then I fluffed the launch completely.

But very happy to get into 12's and really impressed with terminal speeds, a good 5-7mph improvement over stock and for sure the car can definetely do faster, a lot faster as not one run was flat out in 1st gear and all 1-2 change had to be babied to prevent 2nd gear wheel spin. The new wheel/tyre combo seems less grippy to be honest but at the same time a good proper burn out would cure that as rears were always cold.

Still huge fun and it was great that all those who wanted 12's got them today. :D

Dat final run :cool::cool:

Phil ran 13.0sec three times in a row. The goal was simple, take any crap out of his car, do a better burnout, do a 12sec run. A teeny bit of boost was added and the deed was done! :D

You need to add some epic music, crowd cheering and celebratory fireworks :)

The 2nd 4th and 6th run was me changing to 5th near the end of the quarter. I do think if I had less psi in the fronts (34 at cold) controlled my launches a lot better I could touch 15.2/15.1. Some of the times where they are below 15.5 were when the car bogged at launch, my clutch control went to pants then. Thus me then mashing the throttle and wheel spin. Always next time.
