(Building my system next weekend. Would be this weekend, but I have to organize my son's birthday party. Then I have to wallpaper two rooms. Then I have to build my new computer desk. Should just about have finished all that by next weekend. If the D14 isn't available by the end of the month, I'll have to use the stock cooler for a few days... or delay my build!

Well it should be available soon if I find one for sale I'll let you know. There are plenty of reviews of it and seems to be a shaping up nicely. Good luck with the diy and kids party, breath deep and stay calm.

Er, I've just seen the NH-D14 listed as "discontinued" on a particular website. :confused:

EDIT: Panic over: the page was reached via a stale link. It has been replaced with a new page saying ETA 11 days.

Of course, we're all hoping OcUK gets them in soon after this.

Always found Noctua to be quite average, sound wise i cant comment but their overated imo.

Yeah apparently it runs pretty well with just the middle fan attached. You can also adjust the height of the fan that sits over the memory modules.

That solves the front 2 memory modules, but the 2 closer to the socket are still height limited ;-)

It depends on the motherboard really. On my Biostar x58, if you remove the front fan, you still have space for those large heatsinked ram.
