Isn't an Alfa leaving the reasonably priced every day car section? I admit the Prius is too, perhaps!

Massively! (an Alfa might be awesome, but as Top Gear generally point out, depreciate like a stone and are never reasonably priced) Here's the wiki section on the whole deal http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Top_Gear_test_track

After comparing the cars used in the show, id say we do need to stick to a reasonable £10k budget, limit the engine size to a 1.3/1.4 with no more than 100bhp as non of the cars used really exceed this (and is the whole point)

I think everyone's going to have differing opinions on what's allowed or would be best so either we get a short poll up over the weekend or peterattheboro as thread starter gets to pick.

At the end of the day, does it 'really' matter?

It matters as its a cool feature in the game (well time trials and the top gear track!) just seems a waste not to agree on one and have a go...

The current Kia CEE apostrophe D has 125bhp I think  :D

Wow! according to the cee'd page it depends on the engine size, the 1.3 has 89 and the 1.6 has the 125!

Talking to a mate who's telling me about another forum he's on and a good idea might be to rotate it a bit between a selection of cars over a few months...

I'll get a poll put up at the weekend.

I won't be picking the car either. I still like the Prius even though it is £20,000.

Though I also like the idea of that Suzuki SX4 thing.

Eitherway the car must be FWD and have a maximum of about 100bhp/ton.

That's what the current C'eed is and also my suggestion of the Prius (depending on what motor is running the car :p)
